Doesn't make a turn
After the avalanche of problems encountered in the review phase by specialized sites and youtuber, Samsung has cleverly decided to postpone the launch of its Galaxy Fold devices for at least a month. Apparently the devices, of around € 2000 each, would have had major problems with the display, in particular the opening / closing mechanism. Many cracks, just as many black screens.
One of the main culprits is the removable protective film, which the company has specified not to remove for any reason. It would not be a simple anti-scratch film but a real protection system for a much more fragile display than expected. Definitely something that needed to be stressed more in the marketing phase.
Bad step for the Korean company, this one. After a great debut in 2019 with his new S10 line, here is the sharp slowdown that could lead to a fall in the stock market and loss of ground compared to rivals. Especially with regard to folding smartphones, with Huawei, Motorola and others more aggressive than ever.
The launch of the Galaxy Fold was scheduled for last Friday but it seems that now we will have to wait until the end of next month to get our hands on it. It is not clear how Samsung's engineers will be able to solve such a serious problem in about thirty days but for the moment we take the announcement for good and wait with folded arms.
