The manufacturer's shock revelations
It was immediately clear that the Galaxy Fold was in bad shape. Breakages and display problems were on the agenda and after a brief assessment Samsung decided to temporarily withdraw it from the market. Now a new declaration appears, testifying to the lack of progress in corrective actions on the device.
"No progress has been made since the April postponement," Samsung explains to Korean Herald, disproving previously announced announcements that gave the Galaxy Fold again for sale in late May. This is a really embarrassing situation for the Korean giant, now forced to delay for ever in the hope that its technicians will find the key to the problem.
Huawei has also announced a postponement for its Mate X, suggesting a postponement of at least a few months. Apple, meanwhile, continues to work on its foldable iPhone in absolute privacy, perhaps maintaining the best of positions. The fact is that to date the much-feared revolution of folding has not arrived and seems even more distant than ever. At the moment the classic smartphones are not going anywhere, and we would also say fortunately.
